My experience at the Academy has been unbelievable! Not only have I received incredible training in voice, acting, guitar, and piano, but I have also been able to show off my new skills in competitions and shows. The instructors are wonderful and incorporate life skills their curriculum. In my ten years of being here it has become a home away from home. I’ve made friends that will last a lifetime. I have so much fun! I LOVE IT!!!!

AOA-Denver rocks! They worked wonders with me during my intensive weekend training session. Over three days, my instructors taught me more than I had ever learned in all of my voice lessons with other people in the past. Who knew that breathing could be an art form?? They made me feel that my voice has endless possibilities. The performance training helped me transform from someone who was somewhat comfortable on stage to someone who can really rock the stage. I didn’t even know I had it in me! The songwriting sessions we worked on helped me feel more competent with expressing myself, and by the end of the weekend, we had a rough copy of a song! The entire weekend really helped me to see my goals coming true!

Dear Academy Staff, you developed a skinny, buck-toothed, brace faced little girl into the singer and performer I am today. Thank you for believing in me, giving me confidence, and being amazing friends!

Amen! The Academy of the Arts – Denver is the reason Colorado has so many talented artists! You are all amazing!

I recently finished performing for the first time with the Academy of the Arts – Denver at the fifth annual Westminster Cancer Relay for Life. I have been working with this part of the Academy for two months in a fun and challenging program. I found a good place for me in the Academy where my voice would be trained but also my mind and heart would be included, allowing me to become a ROCKSTAR!
— Leticia Oxley, former student and performing artist
Dear AOA-Denver, Thanks so much for all your help. I wouldn’t be the artist I am today if it weren’t for you. Love you forever!
