Performance Groups

Talent Development Program (all ages)

  • ongoing, minimum 6 month commitment

This is a specialized training, performance, and promotional program within the Academy for advanced students who have a driving desire for a career in the entertainment industry. Students must be invited into this program and make a commitment to fulfill a determined curriculum, depending on his/her direction of focus, talents, and abilities. The primary focus of this training program is on career development for the performing artist with an emphasis on performance technique, live audience experience, studio recording, film and TV training, knowledge and etiquette of working in the business. As an artist develops, he/she earns the opportunity to headline their own show, be recommended to major agencies, and participate in national and international talent competitions. Artists also record CD demos or actor demo reels with promotional materials, manage websites and social networking, prepare for auditions, and have opportunities to be introduced to producers, managers, agents, etc., through showcases and/or individual introductions. Members are required to take a minimum of one private lesson each week with the TDP producer.

Glee Club (ages 13 – 17)

  • ongoing, minimum 3 month commitment

This performance group is trained and prepared to showcase their talent in live audience venues as well as produce recordings and videos.  Artists participate in group performance and solo acts.  All showcases are choreographed or staged.  A basic knowledge or prior experience in performance or dance is required. Members are required to take one private lesson each week.

A’Cappella Group (ages 14 and up)

  • ongoing, minimum 3 month commitment

This performance group is trained and prepared to showcase their talent in live audience venues as well as produce recordings and videos.  The objective of this group is to produce and performance music without instruments.  A basic knowledge or skill or harmonization is a must. Members are required to take one private vocal lesson each week.
